I get an error message whenever I fire up studio with typemock.net enabled as an add-in on start-up in VSS 2003

"The Add-in 'TypeMock.NET' failed to load or caused an exception.
Would you like to remove this Add-in?
If you choose yes, you will need to reinstal the Ad-in to use it again

Error message: The system cannot find the file specified

Error number: 80070002

Yes / No buttons"

I was running 3.0.1 which I purchased and entered the temporary code (enterprise version, 30 day code prior to permanent code), I then ran update saw 3.0.2 and installed it (studio was closed prior to install), when I started studio the next time around I got this message.

I clicked yes, thinking a clean install would be good, went to Add/Remove Program, uninstalled and reinstalled

Reopened VSS 2003, got the error, so I clicked NO

I redid the activation and reentered the temporary code (box was empty, made sense since it was a clean reinstall), closed studio and re-opened it, same error.

I can get access to typemock.net by going to the add-in manager and clicking on the checkbox to enable the add-in, if I don't select startup, obviously I don't get the error on starting VSS as it doesn't try to load the add-in on load.

TypeMock seems to work fine however, so may just be an add-in quirk (nuisance, nothing more)

Hi,
Entering the permanent code should solve your problem.

If you don't know you code, please refer to the sales team: sales@typemock.com

Hi Richard,

Sorry, I entered the permanent code, the error stays unchanged after a restart of VS.NET

I got the same error. I have been using 3.01 with Enterprise license.

When I uninstall 3.01 and 3.02 and try to install 3.02 again I get error
80070002 (The system cannot find the file specified) when I start Visual Studio 2003

When I uninstall, install 3.02, enter my permanent license key I get the same error.

Hi there,

Just installed 3.0.2 over 3.0.1 - got the same error.

Have tried reinstalling/repairing a couple of times, no change.

Will revert to 3.0.1

(It looked like the "resolution" is to move to another machine, which I *cannot* do at this time)

Best regards!
